These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of https://economy-media.com (the "Site") and any related services, operated by Silverline (tax ID/RUC 1793231123001), San Juan de Dios y pasaje Calderon ("Economy Media", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who may use the Site
The Site is for general audiences. To buy a subscription or subscribe to the newsletter you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
2. Our content
Economy Media publishes news and analysis. Some articles are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence from multiple public sources and are published under our editorial responsibility, as explained in our Editorial Policy. We work to be accurate, but we do not guarantee that content is complete, current or error-free. Tell us about errors at copyright@economy-media.com.
3. No financial, investment, legal or tax advice
Content about the economy, stocks, markets, business, politics or any other subject is for information only. It is not advice and not an offer or recommendation to buy or sell any security or asset. Investing involves risk, including loss of capital. Do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making decisions.
4. Intellectual property
The Site, its design, logo, text and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read the Site and share links. You may not copy, republish, scrape, resell or build datasets from our content without written permission, except for short quotations with attribution and a link, as allowed by law. Images belong to their respective owners and are used under the licences recorded in our image register.
5. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law; try to access areas you are not allowed to; disrupt or overload the Site; use bots to scrape or harvest data; introduce malware; or send spam through our forms.
6. Accounts, subscriptions and payments
Paid access. Some content may require a paid subscription. The price, billing period, taxes and what is included are shown before you pay. Payment. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number. Renewal. Unless we clearly say otherwise before you buy, subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period until you cancel. We will tell you the renewal terms and ask for your express agreement before charging you, and we will remind you before renewal where the law requires. Cancel anytime. You can cancel online from your account at any time, using the same channel you used to sign up; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds. Refunds are available as stated at checkout and where required by applicable consumer law (including any right of withdrawal). Price changes. We will notify you in advance of any price change and you may cancel before it applies. Your account. Keep your login confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account, and sharing your login is not allowed.
7. Newsletter
If you subscribe, we send the newsletter only after you confirm your e-mail address. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in each e-mail.
8. Advertising and third-party links
The Site shows advertising and may link to third-party sites. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Your messages
If you send us a message, you confirm it is yours to send and does not infringe anyone's rights. We use it only to respond to you and as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@economy-media.com with: your contact details; a description of the work; the URL of the material; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We will review it and remove material where appropriate.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Economy Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or investment losses arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory consumer rights.
13. Changes and termination
We may update the Site or these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you (for example by a notice on the Site or by e-mail) and update the date above. Continued use after the change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Site at any time.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador. Subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply where you live, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Quito, Ecuador.
